Make your own gluten-free cake donuts at home. Mix things up and top your donuts with a classic glaze, chocolate glaze, cinnamon and sugar, or confectioners sugar.

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 ½ cup Breads From Anna Yeast Free Mix
  • ½ cup potato starch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or non-dairy substitute
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¾ cup milk or your preferred non-dairy substitute
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
  2. Spray donut pans with cooking oil.
  3. In medium bowl mix together Breads From Anna Yeast Free Mix, potato starch, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon.
  4. Add butter, eggs, milk, vanilla. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  5. Fill each donut opening ¼ full.
  6. Bake 10-15 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted into baked donut and comes out clean)
  7. Remove from pan

TOPPING SUGGESTIONS:

Glazed:
1 cup confectioner’s sugar,
2 tablespoon  butter (Earth Balance),
1 Tablespoon vanilla,
1-2 Tablespoon milk (favorite non-dairy substitute),
¼ teaspoon salt.
For chocolate glaze add: 2 tablespoon cocoa powder, 2 tablespoon dark cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon cinnamon.
Cinnamon Sugar Donuts: Place 2 donuts in a plastic bag, sprinkle 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar mix in bag.

Sprinkle with Confectioners’ Sugar: Place 2 donuts in a plastic bag, sprinkle 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar in bag .
